Wow!

Thank you all very much for a fantastic event! King Cup 2011 was a great tournament because of your participation. I had a total blast. You can check out all the champions by going here: http://www.soccerinsun.com/Photos/2011/. The Standing reports can be found at the bottom of the page. One of the 0ver 48 brackets came down to a coin toss to decide who moved on to the finals. I posted the heartbreak on the site. I hope you all had as much fun as I did. Any suggestions you have to improve the tournament would be greatly appreciated. We try and make every year better than the last. I want to thank all those that worked so hard on this year’s tournament, Lori Lewis, Natalie Ries, Jenn Trettin, Iara Raley, Hope Austin, Joel Arredondo and all the referees. Please see our links site for the San Diego Soccer tournament and if you’re a doctor please contact the US medical soccer team.


Some important information to know, I have already been notified by the city of Las Vegas that the cost of the fields will be increasing by 150% next year. This $10,000 dollar increase will unfortunately be reflected in the cost of the tournament registration fee. Also, We had a few violations of the age rules and the fair play rules and one situation of completely degenerate unsportsman like conduct. For the most part all of the teams showed great sportsmanship and had tons of compliments from your competitors. Thank you to the majority for your incredible contribution to the event. Next year in order to mitigate the age issue I am eliminating the 2 player deviation allowance. If you play over 40, everyone on your team must be over 40 in 2012, etc.
